Question by alien sex fiend: How can I prevent weight gain when on the NuvaRing?
I just started using it, and know that one of the side effects is weight gain. I really don’t want to gain weight. Help!

Weight gain due directly to birth control is a myth. However, having been on Nuva Ring for 4 years, I have gained weight. However, in those 4 years, I’ve had three major surgeries, been diagnosed with two diseases, made three moves(two across states), gotten married, had a hard time finding a job, and dealing with life in general. I wouldn’t say that I felt the NR made me gain weight. It was life in general. However if you’re worried, watch your caloric intake and exercise more.
