Question by Grace G: From what point should I start calculating my pregnancy weight gain?
I am 28 weeks pregnant and I am supposed to have gained 17-24 pounds by this point but I have only gained 9 pounds. However, I was told by a few people (no one “professional”) that I am to calculate my weight gain with the weight I was when I first got pregnant. But, the thing is that in the first 10 weeks I lost 12 pounds from morning sickness… should I calculate that weight I gained back too or should I be worreid about only gaining 9 “real additional pounds”?

Calculate is from your orignial pre-pregnancy weight. Don’t worry about it… you have a lot of time to catch up. I actually started to lose weight in the last month of pregnancy… and I still had a 10 pound baby.
