Question by Mrs. Beatty: How much weight did you gain in each trimester?
I am 22 weeks and four days pregnant. I am very worried about gaining a lot of weight at the last second. I gained two pounds in my first trimester and in my second so far I have gained seven pounds. So, I have had a total weight gain of nine pounds. My goal is to gain a max. of thirty pounds total. Was your weight gain throughout your pregnancy or did you gain a whole lot right at the end?

1st trimester i gained 10lb and 2nd i gained 10lb now im in the 3rd! but havent really gained anything yet.. it all depends on you and your eating habits. a average prengancy is 25-30lb when it gets broke down its all normal..
the baby accounts for about 6-8 pounds
the placenta is about 1 to 2 pounds
the amniotic fluid is another 2lb
the enlarged uterus is 2 lb
the extra retained fluids, body fats and enlarged breasts make up the other 16 pounds or so
