Question by silver wings: I bought raw milk and the container says ”not for human consumption”?
it says that in the State of North Carolina it is illegal to sell raw milk? I got raw milk because my neighbors say it is very good for you, but confused by these claims!

The main difference between raw milk and pasteurized milk is the amount of bacteria. Raw milk can be very dangerous, especially for pregnant women, children, or those with a weakened immune system. Proponents feel it’s more nutritious and contains antimicrobial properties. Raw milk can’t kill off bacteria naturally, and it is so likely to be contaminated that it can’t be shipped across state lines.
Also, there should be a number on the back of the carton to call for questions. Call that number and ask the necessary question to get the most reliable answers as to why the container says, “not for human consumption.”
