Question by prettyberrie: How do I know my weight gain is due to increase in muscle mass and not fats or water retention?
I actually exercise more and incorporate a variety of activities but it also increases my appetite and as a result I may eat more. However I do have IBS symptoms and water retention. Am trying to lose weight but the weight gain is making me upset.

your clothes will fit differently,that’s the only way i noticed i was losing weight,also you could take your measurements and check them periodically to see if you are losing inches.
